Story: This was a magic moment during my 7-week-long visit to Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2006. This particular morning was the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and the clouds were perfect. I was wide awake. The camera was already set up long before dawn, and ready to shoot at exactly 5:52AM when the sun popped over the eastern horizon. Emerald Bay is a truly spectacular location along the southwestern shores of the lake.
