Story: I had stopped by this meadow long before in autumn of 1982, and made a good attempt at this location. In the fall of 2006, I was able to revisit the same spot after a downpour the afternoon before. Gorgeous fog came out of the meadow at the sun lifted behind Half Dome, and the autumn colors were stronger this time also. I compared the two images later. I used Ektachrome 64 in 1982 and Fuji Velvia 50 in 2006. They are very different, and yet have a similar emotional response for me.
