Story: I had heard of this entryway for several years during my annual trips to the La Quinta Arts Festival. Rumor has it that Howard Hughes once owned the property! It was an easy shot to do; I could set up right in front of the doorway with a slightly wide 90mm lens (about equivalent to a 28mm on 35mm cameras) and compose with the tailgate of my truck right behind me. This image was actually made in deep shadow. Fuji Velvia has wonderful qualities in this kind of light.
