Number: 07-14 Story: Burano
is tiny island 45 minutes north of the city, but still in the lagoon of
greater Venice. Burano has a tiny fishing fleet and brilliantly
painted houses. It's shops sell Burano's traditional handicraft,
gossamer-fine lace. We first visited as a family but there was just too
much to photograph here. I made a return visit with my daughter,
Sabrina. This time I made a wonderful image of the central canal which
runs through the village. Nearby was this wonderful window reflecting
all the colors of the dwellings across the water. Sabrina insisted that
I do this particular window, and even scouted all the other windows
along the way. After her inspection, she decided this was the correct
location and pointed out all best details of this photograph.
