Number: 83-4 Story: This is a scene from cabins near the famous western ghost town of Bodie, California. The dwellings in this photograph are still occupied and maintained. I came across this image during a recent look through my old photographs of the eastern Sierra. Many individuals liked this image in the past when I used older darkroom techniques, so I decided to work on it using the new digital technologies. The contrast range of the subject was far too wide for older transparency films. As a result there was only a negative to scan, and I did not have an old print or transparency to guide my work. In this case, I am quite pleased with the results.
