Number: 90-1 Story: This is my favorite fenceline image. I had tried a half dozen times in other locations, but none of these attempts captured my vision. On my drive back from Reno, I stopped here in Bridgeport. The day was not as cold as it seems. Even so I was soaked, the camera was wet and my truck was stuck off the side of Highway 395 by the time I was done! I had to put chains on to get back onto the road. My photo came out right before the movie "Fargo." It enjoyed good success. Digital printing saved this image and it is undergoing somewhat of a revival today. I have had odd encounters with a couple of different people from the east coast who are in the barbed wire industry. They were both able to tell me the precise name and location of the ranch. |
