Date: June 1993 Time of Day: Morning Story: Vernal Falls was in peak run off after a near record snowfall year. I made this photograph from "Lady Franklin Rock", a justly famous and popular stopping place on the Mist Trail. Exposure here is very tough, and I bracketed several different ideas. These last few years it has been most rewarding to revisit old stomping grounds, using new techniques, and more important, using the greater skills that one acquires later in your career. I had forgotten this image for at least ten years until I began making a serious effort to photograph again in Yosemite. Finding this photograph in my files was quite a surprise, as it was lurking in my earlier work!
