Number: 96-30 Story: This is a popular spot near Mammoth Lakes, CA. I visited there dozens of times without my camera. I finally decided to make a serious photo excursion. I chose late October because the lakes are usually more calm due to the high pressure. My employee came along to learn about my process. We left Bishop at 1:00 a.m. and drove to the trailhead. We preceded to hike 5 1/2 hours in the dark, using headlamps. This was one occasion where everything came together. I had time to scout Lake Ediza and we had plenty of coffee! The lake was perfectly calm with a gorgeous sunrise. |
