I had been after this look for years. And after many, many trips up
Rock Creek Canyon above Tom’s Place, it all came together this fall
morning: morning light, a dusting of the first snow of the season, blue
skies, and the 8x10 camera ready! Since then, I’ve made many more trips
to Little Lakes Valley, yet haven’t done as well. There are some good
photographs in my collection with true dawn light and Bear Creek Spire,
but nothing a little later in the morning after the sun has popped over
the eastern horizon and Mount Morgan. |
